My practice focus is on pain management. When it comes to treating pain syndromes I focus on the treatment of trigger points and motor points. Trigger points are contraction knots/spasms within muscles that not only cause dysfunction and pain within particular muscles but also have the ability to cause referred pain to other areas of the body. It has been reported that over 90% of pain patients have at least some muscular component to their pain presentation. Quite often, a majority of their pain, if not all, originates from a muscular origin. By freeing these muscular regions we can alleviate pain, soreness and tension.

What the National Institutes of Health says about Acupuncture…
Acupuncture, among the oldest healing practices in the world, is part of traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture practitioners stimulate specific points on the body—most often by inserting thin needles through the skin…. Acupuncture is generally considered safe when performed correctly.
